WELCOME
“I opened Ocha, my dream restaurant, on the 16th of October, 1994. My aim was to offer delicious dishes, use quality ingredients and introduce a modern style of Japanese cuisine to the palates of my Australian patrons.
In the following 13 years I have noticed a change in Melbourne’s restaurant scene. Japanese food has grown in popularity and sushi has become a household dish.
Since Ocha opened, our repertoire of dishes has grown significantly. I have sought to broaden the horizons of Japanese cooking and it is with great pleasure that I now introduce our new menu. It is a combination of many previous “special board” favourites and our regular dishes. This allows me to follow my dream and continue to embrace my passion for constant innovation of Japanese food.
Thank you for your faithful and ongoing support, may your enjoyment of the Ocha experience continue for years to come!”
